ACCORDING TO THE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT REGULATION, THE ADVANTAGES FOR THE ACADEMIANS ARE LISTED BELOW

1) SAU Instructors;

• can set-up a company in Sakarya Technopark

• can become a partner of an existing company

• can be a manager for an existing company

in order to commercialize the completed/planned researchers in the condition that getting permission from the board of directors according to the technology development zones regulation.

2) Instructors can work full time salaried/without pay, part time or out-of-hours in the firms within the Sakarya Technopark.

3) The incomes are exempted from the income tax of the instructors are employed in the area

4) Instructors can be assigned part-time and full-time in the R&D companies in Teknokent in accordance with 38. and 39. item of the law no 2547

5) Instructors can pass the time through sabbatical in Sakarya Technopark

6) Civil servants who will be employed continuously have time-off without pay that continue to their positions

7) Relations with the staff of the assigned lecturers are continued and the retirement rights for the personnel who are subject to the Law No. 5434 on the Pension Fund of the Republic of Turkey are kept in compliance with the provisions of Article 31 of the Law No. 5434 for the periods spent in the Region. Provisions of Article 36 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 that are contrary to the regulations contained in this article shall not apply.

Besides;

Sakarya Technopark advances special incentive models for SAU instructors to pass their innovative ideas. In this context, Incubation Center is a center that focuses on the foundation of R&D companies and supports are needed by the founded companies especially in the first years of the entrepreneurship. It is planned to give ‘incubation services’ for the companies established by the instructors.

ENTREPRISE OFFICE PRE-ICUBATION PROGRAMME

Girişim Atölyesi holds a competition for the students from the all degree (bachelor, master and Ph.D.) and the students graduated from the universities over the last 5 years. The selected students develop their ideas with mentors and training in the Office allocated by the Adaptto-Technology Transfer Office for the duration of 6 to 12 months.

Girişim Atölyesi is an ecosystem that 12 successful entrepreneurs are accepted to the preincubation program annually.

Girişim Atölyesi is a preincubation program that provides the enabling infrastructure and services giving free training, mentorship, consultancy, and fund support to develop the entrepreneurs’ ideas into a project/product/service towards commercialization.
